Hosted by UMD families and alumni, Summer Send-Offs are wonderful opportunities for the University of Maryland’s newest students and their families to meet one another, hear from university representatives, and connect with current students & families all in a relaxed and casual environment in your regional area. Attend a Summer Send-Off and celebrate the university’s newest arrivals in Terp style!


HOW TO REGISTER

  • Space is limited. To allow as many families to attend as possible, students are allowed up to 2 adult guests.
  • Each attendee in your party must be registered individually.
  • Enter the information for the first, primary attendee on the event detail page. 
  • Choose “Register & Add Attendee” to add the next attendee. 
  • Once you've entered information for your last attendee, select "Register & Checkout." 
  • Your attendee registrations will be placed in the shopping cart, where you must proceed to checkout (events are free to attend, but you must complete the checkout process to register fully). 
  • You can checkout as a guest or register an account for future convenience.
  • You'll receive a confirmation email and calendar invite once you've registered successfully. If you do not receive an email confirmation (check spam), then you have not fully registered.

Don't see a location near you? Summer Send-Off parties are hosted by current family and alumni volunteers. Our team, along with campus partners, works hard to find volunteers across the country. Unfortunately, we are limited to the locations where we can secure a host. We hope you will consider hosting a Summer Send-Off next year!
